Arrival in Montréal

Our arrival in Montreal was on April 1 at night, first of all going through immigration, I read in many groups that they could deny you a visa upon entry, that's why they check your documents, but if you have the documents in order and everything They have asked you, they will not have any problem when entering.

We were nervous? Of course, we had read a lot of stories and I had never really been so scared, not even when I found out that I was pregnant hahahahahahaha... in the end everything went well happily, the immigration officer asked us a couple of questions and saw that we all had our documents in order and he let us in, I was just able to breathe... ufffffff... I'm realistic at that moment everything goes through your head and it's not a good feeling.

After the trauma and to be more calm we went to the suitcases, 12 suitcases 4 people, 2 adults, 2 adolescents, at that moment we all carried several each one had their suitcases responsible but we had to be watching that nobody approach the suitcases or the girls, you know as a precaution, the carts were so heavy that they went from side to side, it should be said, that 2 suitcases were toys hahaha because my youngest daughter Lorena wanted to bring them, while the older Noelia only brought a few things, well they are very different characters and ages too.

The truth is that we knew it was going to be cold but that weather took us by surprise, I kept the girls warm with jackets that we had bought on a previous trip to Miami on sale, but they already went with gloves (the simple ones), scarves fleece hat, long-sleeved polo shirt, jeans and simple sneakers. My husband did have a winter jacket because he lived in Chicago for more than a year with his mother years ago and I keep it in case we ever find snow.

Me, well, my jeans, snickers, a rain jacket that when I left Peru I was hot and it was more what hindered me than what I wanted to wear it, with a long scarf around my neck that they gave me, was what helped me endure .

With all that, when we left the airport we felt the cold, the air hit us quite hard, when we arrived the snow was already melting, we thought that the weather would not surprise us, a great illusion on our part hahaha.

Because my hands went numb from the cold and my ears hurt, many who arrived the first times in colder climates will understand me.

We were picked up by a person who helped us with various procedures and made us clear up several doubts, gave us tips and took care of helping us with the appointments and moving forward with the whole process so as not to delay, because the appointments are given to you after one or 2 weeks that you separate it.

We arrived at our house, but we only left the suitcases there and we took a small tour of the house, since we rented it from Peru, we were tired, hungry and wanted a shower, the house was without furniture, only the furnished kitchen and laundry, very beautiful just like the photo we found on facebook.

From there we went to the Airbnb because we had already rented it before we found the house and well at that moment they asked you to stay to quarantine, then they removed that rule, only there we were able to rest at the Airbnb.

First hospital experience in Canada

The subject of health in Quebec is good, when they take care of you and you have Maladi insurance. The service system is not very good, it is similar to the insurance of the State of Peru that many of us know, the difference is that here it is bigger and you are not on the floor. I will tell you about my experience in a children's hospital, an emergency experience, which in the end was not. They called my husband from school to tell him that Lorena was in severe pain and that we should take her home or to a hospital, because they don't give you medicine at school, you should take her to your doctor. He picked her up and said that she was doubling over from the pain, for this she had already been complaining about the pain a few days before they came and went but we thought it was indigestion. My husband asked her where and she pointed to the right where the appendix was, she came and went all the way to the hospital. He asked a friend for help and he took them to the hospital. ...

Mascota de Peru a Quebec - Dog from Peru to Quebec
