Lorena's first day at a French school, she was scared and excited at the same time, she didn't know how to speak French and since everything is new, the poor thing gained a lot of strength.

The advantage is that they have an adaptation or Welcome program in all Francophone schools and all the provinces of Canada, it seems to me too.

It is not that they repeat the courses, they can stay up to approximately 2 years and from there they enter a normal school, in the welcome program they go slower from the alphabet, vowels, numbers, days of the week, colors, months of the year , etc. and they only speak to them in French, if they don't understand it the teachers are patient and the children feel free to ask.

Yes, they can take a little longer but it depends on each child, if it is a long process for us, they also have their time, that is if they are going to advance more than us even if it is slow.

When we arrived to drop her off at school they gave us a tour of the classrooms and invited us to come in, there are the photos.
The school is very clean, there is no way to complain, bathrooms, lockers with names of each child, super tidy.

The school is paid by the government when you are an international student, but not with all the courses, for example if you come to study music, NO languages, that's how you pay it, not the government (unless the laws have changed because as far as you apply was like this).
Of course, you cover the supplies, notebooks, etc. But the advantage here is that if you can recycle from the previous year, they encourage you to do so, and what you spend on the list is not much between $50 and 70 dollars Cad.

Lorena came home from school happy, to tell me that the teacher is patient and speaks to her in French and always smiles. It was not difficult for her to adapt, somewhat shy at first, but as soon as she made friends, I can say that today she loves her school, her friends, she has friends from Peru, Colombia, Korea, China, Argentina and more countries from various parts of the world.

They say she is multicultural for a reason, she wakes up with all the energy to see her friends and learn, it is not that she is number one but she makes an effort, that is if they have dictation every week and they send you a role because every so often they have exams.
The schools are zoned, you go to the school district that corresponds to you and they put you as close as possible to your home.

First hospital experience in Canada

The subject of health in Quebec is good, when they take care of you and you have Maladi insurance. The service system is not very good, it is similar to the insurance of the State of Peru that many of us know, the difference is that here it is bigger and you are not on the floor. I will tell you about my experience in a children's hospital, an emergency experience, which in the end was not. They called my husband from school to tell him that Lorena was in severe pain and that we should take her home or to a hospital, because they don't give you medicine at school, you should take her to your doctor. He picked her up and said that she was doubling over from the pain, for this she had already been complaining about the pain a few days before they came and went but we thought it was indigestion. My husband asked her where and she pointed to the right where the appendix was, she came and went all the way to the hospital. He asked a friend for help and he took them to the hospital. ...

Mascota de Peru a Quebec - Dog from Peru to Quebec
